Job Description

The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Marketing Operations Managers and Director, merchant teams, digital/e-com teams, creative teams, and other cross functional partners, as needed. This position will require confidence, strong communication, critical quick-thinking, and attention to detail. Strong InDesign, Excel, and Power Point skills are mandatory. Past experience in retail and a good understanding of the fashion customer is preferred.



RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support development of key marketing campaigns including coordination of in-store events, partnership programs, sweepstakes/contests and other marketing programs
  • Support marketing campaigns by working with cross-functional teams to develop messaging, promotions, legal, obtaining images, etc.
  • Support concessions projects including ideation on creative execution and coordination of all projects
  • Coordinate & manage the point of sale in-store signage coordinating print projects in partnership with the creative team on design, vendors on production, & with In-store Presentation and store operations for distribution for most cost-effective and impactful presence.
  • Manage & update lists of stores for distribution of project collateral
  • Manage the critical path process to ensure all collateral arrives in sufficient time to launch ensuring time is built in for creative development, detailed item notes, translations, and proofing approvals, roadmaps & sign lists.
  • Managing and partner with creative team and merchant teams to obtain samples/sample list for seasonal photo-shoots.
  • Partner with European team on key projects
  • Partner with the digital and E-Commerce teams to ensure new ideas are generated to drive all marketing activations
  • Handle ad-hoc requests and projects from stores, mall marketing programs, POS signage requests and other programs
  • Partner with the ISP (In-store Presentation) & Ops teams to brief them sufficiently for store communications & graphic instructions regarding store set-up and compile the store communications where necessary
  • Assist with development of presentations and in-store display/POS for key meetings
  • Represent and attend meetings on behalf of the marketing team when necessary
  • Execute and support marketing projects as requested

QUALIFICATIONS + EXPERIENCE

  • At least 1-3 years experience of working in marketing
  • Knowledge of print & graphic production helpful
  • Strong working knowledge of InDesign, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Quick thinking, problem solving & critical thinking skills
  • Strong multi-tasking skills required
  • Experience of developing & successfully running critical paths
  • Good communication and follow-up skills at all levels
  • Demonstrated creative, organizational, collaborative skills
  • Balanced approach to teamwork and working independently
  • Taking initiative, being self motivated and working with a sense of urgency are essential
  • Understand fashion & stay abreast of fashion trends
  • At least 2 year’s fashion retail experience in a Marketing, PR or Buying role & a keen interest in Marketing & Fashion Retail
  • Strong understanding of the Claire’s and/or Icing customer & her world
  • Good understanding of social media
