PR & Events Coordinator Opportunity

About the Role

The PR and Events Coordinator is specifically responsible for assisting the PR, Events and Marketing department with all day-to-day PR & Event management, supporting the PR & Communications Manager and PR and Events Specialist to ensure that the department runs as smoothly and effectively as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination and execution of events, press days, social media
  • Responsible for all department administration ie, expenses, vendor research, meeting scheduling, gift bag compiling and distribution, monthly reports, event recaps, ordering supplies, and media and influencer database management, etc.
  • Building effective working relationships with both internal /external business areas
  • Execution of effective PR & Events strategy to drive brand awareness and value
  • Coordinate all elements of events to drive brand awareness and value
  • Coordinate and manage projects/campaigns to ensure effective launch of events
  • Liaise with buyers to obtain product information and samples
  • Coordinate, organize & ship samples for relevant press agencies, influencers, gifting & venues to meet deadlines + in a timely manner
  • Assist in planning, managing and executing projects and campaigns, including Look Book and press materials
  • Assist/support with the preparation and production of publicity brochures, props and suitable venues
  • Coordinate internal PR reports and distribute
  • Provide sample products to agencies within a timely manner, ensuring that they are received within set deadlines
  • Maintain a record of all samples distributed and take appropriate follow up action to ensure they are returned and tracked
  • Report to the PR + Communications Manager on a regular basis
  • Work closely with Buying & E-commerce team
  • Work alongside the PR team to help contribute executing the PR strategy for the brand
  • Day to day correspondence with press agencies regarding sample management and press releases and media alerts
  • Liaise and answer inquiries from media, individuals and other organizations
  • Work with the PR and Marketing team to brief in press releases/ media alerts and other PR creative projects
  • Assist Social Team with tracking Influencer placements driven by PR Gifting
  • Coordinate all Influencer and Media gifting
  • Ensure press agencies are kept up to date with all planned media alerts and key season’s strategy
  • Support in collating and providing the buying team with information relating to Claire’s products
  • Develop and maintain successful working relationships with key media and press
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key partners across the business, with particular emphasis on the Buying teams
  • Manage + maintain organization of the PR closet
About you

  • Minimum of one year experience working within a Marketing team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communication or related field
  • Experience working with external vendors
  • Strong Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Google Drive
  • Photoshop experience preferred
  • Outstanding internal and external communication skills; ability to communicate with multi-level management
  • Positive/ Enthusiastic attitude + demeanor, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Entrepreneur skills, ability to think outside of the box
  • Problem solver; ability to take initiatives
  • Understanding of budget management
